FBLA visits ETSU

FBLA Club Visits ETSU Campus

On Wednesday, Jan. 23rd, a group of FBLA club members toured the campus of ETSU in Johnson City, TN. They were able to see a variety of the halls and residences on campus, as well as other facilities that ETSU students are able to use freely. The tour guides, current students at the university, were very helpful.  They were able to talk to our members about personal college life experiences and answer all student questions.

When asked for a comment on visiting the campus, Senior Amanda O. (who had never been inside of the mini-dome before) said that she really liked going inside the facility.  It was also noted by the ETSU tour leader that the mini-dome serves as one of the premier training facilities for the Olympics.  Fellow senior, Nathan M., stated that he though the library was nice and that it was neat that the top floor was silent for students who were studying.  Ashley J., a junior in the HHS FBLA added that, “It was nice to see the campus while learning about classes and class schedules.”

It was also interesting to students that there was a University School on campus for grades (K-12).  Students are allowed to attend that school through a lottery system.  Despite the windy weather, our FBLA members thought it was a great opportunity to see a beautiful campus that is  close to home.
