HHS FFA Soils Teams Compete in State Competition

On Monday, November 5, our FFA members traveled to Strasburg, VA for the Virginia FFA Soils and Land Evaluation. Students were given opportunities to demonstrate their knowledge of Soil Type identification, slope calculations, and Land Use Classifications based on the site characteristics. 11 Holston FFA Members competed on three teams. The Senior Division Team A placed 3rd in the event out of 11 teams.  Baylee T. was ranked 5th individually.  The following is a breakdown of the members that participated on each team:
