Outstanding Holston Baseball Player Signs with Milligan College
Dakota T., whose talents have helped make the Holston High School baseball program a success for the last four years, will wear the colors of the Milligan College Buffaloes next year. According to his coach, John Thacker, Dakota has played all the positions on the baseball diamond during his time at HHS. He was Holston’s offensive leader last season with a .393 batting average. While Dakota is primarily a catcher, he will also be the second starter in the pitching rotation this season. He has already scored a win for the Cavs on the mound.
The signing took place on March 23, 2017. Along with his mother and father and family members, Coach Thacker, Milligan Coaches Nathan Meade and Steve McMillan, and his baseball teammates celebrated the occasion. Dakota plans to pursue a degree in Exercise Science and become a certified athletic trainer. The faculty and staff of Holston High School appreciate Dakota’s contributions to the school and its athletic programs and congratulate him as he takes on his new role.
