A talented WCCTEC Welding student and John S. Battle High School student. Embree has been awarded the SVAM (Southwest Virginia Alliance for Manufacturing) Scholarship!
Today she participated in the SVAM Signing Day, where she received multiple letters of intent from local manufacturers and from VHCC.
What an exciting day for Embree — a true milestone as her dreams begin to come true!

Our SkillsUSA officers were honored at a special luncheon celebrating their leadership, dedication, and achievements. We were proud to welcome distinguished guests: Delegate Israel O’Quinn, David Matlock, Executive Director of the Southwest Virginia Higher Education Center, and Dr. Chad Wallace, Assistant Superintendent of Operations.
These inspiring leaders shared words of encouragement and wisdom with our future workforce. It was a powerful reminder of the bright future ahead for our students!
